Which resolution should I choose?
- 72 DPI: small previews and thumbnails.
- 150 DPI: sharp on screens, for slides, websites and messages. A good default.
- 200 DPI: documents with small text that people will zoom into.
- 300 DPI: printing, or very fine detail. Files are about four times larger than at 150 DPI.
Use PNG for pages with text and diagrams if you want crisp edges, and JPG for pages with photos. Need a form-ready photo from a scan? Open the image in the photo & signature resizer. To go the other way, use JPG to PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about the pdf to jpg tool.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and rendered in your browser, so contracts, bills and IDs stay on your device. Only the free PDF reader (Mozilla pdf.js) is downloaded the first time you use the tool.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Click the pages you don't need to skip them. Only checked pages are saved.
How are the images named?
With the PDF name and the page number, for example report_1.jpg, report_2.jpg, so they stay in order.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Not yet. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, then convert.
Can I convert a PDF on my phone?
Yes. It works in mobile browsers. For long documents, choose 150 DPI to keep it fast.
