Photos and text can cross the dashed lines: that is what makes a seamless carousel. Drag to move, drag the corner to resize (hold Shift to keep the shape), Delete to remove.

How to make a seamless carousel

  1. Pick a template, or start blank, and set the number of slides and their shape
  2. Click + Photos or drop photos on the page. They fill the template boxes in order
  3. Drag photos and text across the dashed lines. Drag a corner to resize, and use the panel to zoom a photo inside its frame
  4. Add text and shapes, and choose a background color or gradient
  5. Check it with Swipe preview, then click Download. Post the slides in order

Why seamless carousels work

  • They make people swipe: a photo or line that runs off the edge of the first slide invites a swipe to see the rest.
  • One canvas, exact edges: elements snap to slide edges and centers, and the slides are cut exactly at the dashed lines, so nothing shifts between slides.
  • 4:5 portrait (1080 × 1350) fills the most of the feed. Instagram also supports 1:1 and the newer 3:4.
  • Your work is saved in this browser as you go, photos included. Come back later and carry on.

Only need to cut one wide photo? The carousel splitter is quicker. For text-only slides, use quote & text slides.
