Getting the NEET photo right
- 80% face: crop close so your face, including both ears, fills most of the photo.
- White background: stand in front of a white wall with light on your face.
- No mask, no cap, no dark glasses. Normal spectacles are fine if your eyes are clear.
- Keep prints: NTA asks you to keep printed passport size and postcard size (4 × 6 inch) photos with a white background for the exam day.
- Signature: sign with a black ink pen on plain white paper, take a photo in daylight from straight above, and keep Whiten paper, darken ink on. Grey shadows disappear and the ink becomes clear.
Certificates must be PDFs of 50–300 KB. Make one with JPG to PDF.

What size are the finger and thumb impressions?
The bulletin gives 10–200 KB in one place and 50–300 KB in another. A file of 50–200 KB fits both, so the tool uses that.
Can the NEET photo be black and white?
Yes. The 2026 bulletin accepts colour or black & white. To make it black and white, tick Black & white.
